Your Next, er, Two 1911s?

Not quite certain what I'd ever do with one, but there is a certain coolness factor. ;-) Besides, as long as you can shoot it, you can always fire a double-tap. It's the new, double-barreled 1911 from Arsenal Firearms:

I'm pretty sure that thing meets the BATFE's definition of a "machinegun". I say that just to show how ridiculous their definition really is...(color emphasis mine)
Any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger

Nope. I thought the same thing as did most people who first saw these guns. Importation will begin this year as some point. They seem a novelty as best to me but your mileage may vary. Good luck finding an IWB holster for them. LOL

The modern "pepperbox"?

Surely a lot more accurate.

Looks like it's about two inches thick, doesn't it? Unless you have the hands that go with a 6'5" frame, I'm not sure this would be practical to shoot. And of course, you could only carry it in a tool box. I didn't check the specs; I wonder what it weighs?

A solution in search of a need.

Hey, at least they didn't put a rail on it. Hang a light and laser under that puppy and I'd bet you'd have a five-pound handgun.

But still, if you offered to give me one, I wouldn't refuse. It'd be a hoot to shoot.

Cleaning it...a whole 'nuther matter.

Just because you can do something, doesn't necessarily mean you should.
