Cali school ISD bought AR15s for protection

Fontana Unified School District is arming its school police with new high-performance rifles. The district bought 14 Colt rifles valued at $1,000 each.

How did they find 14 and how did they find any at 1k?
And are they on the California Approved List?

They were purchased last fall and received in December.. She said they were 6940s...not 6940CAs.

Law enforcement in CA can purchase ar15's and other class III weapons.

Oh yea. Forgot about that and that they are exempt from their State's Law of the Approved List.

Good guns, have a couple myself. I think everyone(legally qualified to own firearms)should have a few!
Exceptions to report, They certainly are not "High Powered" or "To much firepower to have around schools" when a whacko shows up.

If they are valued at $1,000 each, why in tarnation are Colts going for three times that on Gunbroker?

They bought them through Colt Defense, LLC not a retailer. lol

Every law enforcement officer should and must have an AR in their vehicle. Everyone especially police need to have something to fight back to.
