Psychiatric Condition Question

Maybe has been asked before...Is prescription by licensed physician of an anti-depressant an automatic disqualifier for obtaining a CHL? Or does it depend on the diagnosis?

It's a stand alone question, but I'll give a little background on what got me thinking about it. Apparently the active ingredient in Chantix (the stop smoking drug) is the same as the anti-depressant Wellbutrin...

Also is a diagnosis of depression an automatic disqualifier?

It depends on the diagnosis.

Wellbutrin was often prescribed to help stop smoking before Chantix hit the market

No, it is not. But, it could cause a delay in your process if the application has to go to the medical review board.
