Man Arrested For Picture of Baby and Gun

An Ohio man was arrested for posting a picture on Facebook while holding his baby and a BB gun.
This is absolutely ridiculous. The police said that the gun "in close proximity" to the child created a danger to the child, and he was arrested for child endangerment.

Excellent editing..
Dykes claims that it was the baby's maternal mother who saw the photo and called the police.

All part of the long term plan to demonize guns and gun owners. Guns are so dangerous that even a BB gun in proximity to a child requires the full weight of law enforcement and media stimatization to protect the children.

So when I pick up my nieces for a good 'ol Texas hug, I'm endangering them? My EDC is a lot more powerful than a Red Rider BB gun, although I'm told with one of them you could put an eye out!
Good to know.

This is sad and the media isn't helping!! From a child just using his finger to make a gun to a bubble gun, when is this going to stop?

You forgot the torn piece of paper that vaguely resembles something that might look like a gun in bad lighting.

It depends on how well she's hooked up in the system, or how pricey of a lawyer she can afford.

I don't see how that is illegal, but the person in the photo is not real bright trying to look gangster holding his baby.

Come on people, call it what it is: false arrest and false imprisonment. What this guy did isn't illegal, and what he's charged with is nothing more than an attempt to criminalize behavior that isn't even close to being criminal. This guy was only arrested for this made up crime because he's poor and Black (unless the MIL is wielding some political power we don't know about). Period. But it isn't a racial thing as much as a socio-economic thing . Does anybody here really believe they'd arrest an Al Sharpton or a Jesse Jackson for this phony crime? Any politician at any level? A LEO? A Black pro athlete? Is there anyone here so naive as to believe they'd arrest anyone with money? This is an obvious and blatantly discriminatory denial of the Constitutional right of equal protection under the law. Everyone participating in the arrest and incarceration of this man should be arrested and charged with false arrest and/or unlawful imprisonment.

The media IS helping.....they're helping the liberals demonize guns and gun ownership.
