How long after the class does it take to get the instructors certificate? I've finally gotten scheduled into the March class and this is one question I haven't been able to find an answer for. I have several people already interested in taking the class and I'd like to give them a timeframe on it. TIA!!!

We left the class with certificates in hand.

Yes, you get your certificate as soon as you finish qualification. You could conceivably teach your first class the next day.

DPS asks that you provide at least two weeks notice via CHL-7.

Asks, but is flexible. I have had a few last-minute classes and never had a problem. Of course, I try to give two-weeks notice, but it doesn't always work out that way.

I had to turn one in recently the day before because the other instrcutor had the flu. I noted that on my CHL-7 so they knew why.
