March 31, 2007 at 0900 Golden Triangle Gun Club in Beaumont will hold a John M. Browning match. Since J M B was undeniably the greatest firearms designer to ever come along, and due to the fact many of his designs are still going strong after 100+ years and I wanted to have a theme for this fifth Saturday match we will be honoring the memory of Mr. Browning.
There will be three classes - - - 1911, High Power, and everything else. I put in everything else because almost all modern pistol designs are influenced by Browning’s designs.
The scoring rings on the targets have been redesigned as has the scoring count. No race guns will be allowed, and the pistol still needs to fit in the box. Flush fit mags only, but hi caps fully loaded are OK as long as they fit flush. No minimum power factor, and up to three magazines on the belt will be allowed.
Grab your 1911, Hi-power, or even your “Tupperware gun and let’s have a BLAST!
If interested, e-mail or PM me for directions to the range or further information.
