As a CHL, what happens if I visit a city owned building that does not have courts or jail but has a metal detectors? For sake of argument, I was in the Fort Worth municipal building heading to P&Z. Before you can get to them, you have to go through metal detectors. Do you just hand your CHL to the person manning the detector?

does not have courts or jail
Does it have "offices utilized by" a Court?
I know of a building which has a "secretary to" a Judge in it as the first office by the entrance where the metal detectors are.

Is it posted 30.06 during political meetings?

Burnet County Courthouse Annex has lots of city/County/State offices inside where one could normally carry, but metal detectors at the front Entrance. The Tax office where you get license plates ... has a drive through window so people don't have to disarm. The DPS office, and most others, you'd have to disarm before going inside through metal detectors. They got upset I had metal clips on my empty holster that set off their detector. ;-)

I usually don't wear my medals in public so I don't worry about the medal detectors. :biggrinjester:

Another city building I just remembered has one cashier where you pay utilities, and the municipal offices and another cashier window that accepts payments of Municipal Court fines... that cashier's office is utilized by a court.
