Sounds kind of crazy, but hey, it's Vegas.

Sheahan says people in a Maserati and an SUV were exchanging gunfire before the Maserati hit the taxi.
Bet it was a drug war.

Let us pray that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

He doesn't move fast enough to be involved in a rolling gun battle.

"Desert Cab declined comment and calls to the company continued to ring busy. Gillespie said the taxi exploded from "sheer impact" and was not propane-fueled.
Turney blamed the violence on one issue:
"Get rid of the guns," she said. "If it wasn't for the guns, everybody would have been alive.""
One person died from gunshots. Passenger in the car that was shot was injured from the car crash. Two innocent people in the taxi cab were burned to death from the explosion after the car crash.
Hmmm. Why did the taxi cab explode after what appears to be a non fatal type of car accident. I'm not buying the "sheer impact" story. I also don't trust the Las Vegas police higher ups at all.
BTW it was at 4:30 in the morning and the person shot and killed was a "rapper". Hasn't this happened before in Las Vegas.

Yeah, before guns were invented, the world was an idyllic peaceful place with unicorns, faeries, and peppermint candy mountains.

I saw another headline regarding this event and it reads: "Vegas Strip back to normal as police hunt for black SUV"
If you've ever been the the LV strip, it's never "normal".

People out running around at 4:30 in the morning are usually up to no good.

A few years back my wife attended a business convention in Las Vegas.
They put her up at The Venetian, her room was a double, so no extra charge for me to stay with her.
At the same time, a stand up comedian buddy of mine was The Headliner at a local venue.
During the day, while my wife was doing her convention thing, he and I got together for cigars and a drink.
While getting to the cigar bar he and I walked a gauntlet of people on the sidewalk.
Walking the strip is one giant pain. The crowds are overwhelming.
Never again.
Las Vegas isn't for me.

I was at the Hilton Grand Vacation, right next to/in back of the Flamingo. I got up yesterday morning and was walking to breakfast with an associate and he filled me in on the mayhem. Our meeting ended at about 4:00 PM and they still had the roads blocked off as crime scenes. Traffic and access was all screwed up. I know alot of folks love the "Vegas" scene, but it's not for me. I was in Wednesday morning and back out last night. Just walking around to get a meal saw enough unusual folks to give me the willies.
