You cannot carry at the rodeo itself as that is a professional sporting event. I have heard the rodeo is posted 30.06, but not sure as I have not been.
There has been a lot of previous discussion on here. Use the search feature above to search for the word rodeo and see what pops up.

Live stock show is mostly 4H kids which is school sponsored. Therefore I would suspect that it is not allowed. Just my .02

Don't know about Houston, but going to the Fort Worth show was like taking a step back in time. No wands and no one checking for weapons of any kind.

Isn't that a part of the rodeo itself? I know that when I lived down there the entertainment was always part of the rodeo.

They hold the rodeo events before the concert. So I would think that if you skipped the rodeo & just went to the concert, you'd be OK. None of the buildings were posted 30.06 that I could see. However since one guy in our party had never been to a rodeo, I didn't carry. But we did get plenty of use out of "this is his first rodeo"!

We have shown animals at the Livestock Show for a number of years, and to the best of my knowledge there is no issue carrying at the Livestock Show. Though the bulk of the youth exhibitors are 4-H (not school affiliated - we are project leaders) or FFA (school related organization), the Livestock Show is not a school event. Therefore unless they have started posting 30.06 signs there is no issue carrying there.
The Rodeo itself is another story -- professional sporting event.

The ones I've been to, the concert did not have a separate ticket. If your gun is discovered, then you're in the rodeo arena, with a rodeo ticket stub. I don't know how much the officer will care that the rodeo is over. I'm on your side, but I won't be there.
Would it be legal to carry to see the halftime show at a professional football game?
Enjoy!
Jeff

I thought the whole area was government owned, paid for by Harris County suckers, I mean taxpayers.
