Incident in Waco

So my girlfriend decided to visit me in Waco this weekend. We decided to hang out at my friends house for the night and have some drinks. We were getting ready to watch a movie when I thought I heard someone screaming. We paused the movie and walked out on the balcony. We heard a women screaming bloody murder. I distinctly heard "someone help". I then saw a dark figure being chased by another figure. I usually leave my gun on a shelf by his balony door. So I grabbed it and called 911 on my phone. He lives off of MLK. Within 2 min. There were 6 police officers driving up and down the street. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but they are down the street talking to some people right now. My first instinct when I heard the scream was to grab my gun and run towards the trouble. My second thought was "that's not a good idea" my friends and I decided to be good witnesses instead. Intros area isn't the greatest anyway. This experience just reminded me to stay viligent. I'm on a smartphone right now, I'll update y'all when I get on a computer. Just thought I'd share my experience.

I don't see a lot of good things happening with someone grabbing a gun and running outside because they heard screaming. Sounds like a good way to have a bad encounter with LEOs. Add "drinks" to that equation, well no need to start that discussion.
It would appear calling 911 and staying put was the right decision.

Sounds unnerving to say the least. Glad you're ok.
