I want to buy a Ruger 10/22 carbine for my family. I've checked around and I've only seen one in pink at Academy. I don't think my son would touch it.

Have you considered Sensitivity Training for your son?

Just kidding! :rolll "rlol"

I have been looking for one also, and they have dried up.

I went to Bass Pro in Grapevine last week and asked about them.

The Expert behind the counter said that they get them in occasionally, but they never last a day on the shelf.

Good Luck!

Get the pink one then get a hogue stock for it. Stock stocks wont knock your socks off.

Also stock stocks are not stocking stuffers for snipers who stalk state sponsored sterrorist?

Friend saw a pink stock one in lubbock or amarillo over the weekend. I have been looking for one also (not pink). No luck down here. I had heard a rumor about a co-worker near Angleton buying up ~10 of them and selling them all privately at a steep markup. It sounded like the guy had insider information on delivery from a friend of his at a local Academy.

30 dollars will buy you a wood stock take off. Most of the ones Ive seen have been brand new. Good luck on finding extra mags for it if you do buy one. I bought a takedown 2 mths ago and barely got a spare mag used at a gun show and I had to dig a bin to find it. You can find clear ones easily enough if you don't mind them.

There we some at the Lewisville gun show last weekend. But the prices seemed higher than normal. I am looking for the 10 round rotary mags in black. I found a couple of clear ones but the prices were about $10 higher than last year. I asked why the prices were up for a 10 round mag and was told that Ruger raised their prices 30% across the board. I don't have any confirmation of that but I wouldn't be surprised.

I got a call from a buddy Sunday saying he found me the 10/22 I've been looking for at walmart... Sure enough, it's a carbine wood model, was 199 plus tax and now I have a 10/22 that I wasn't ready to buy with one brick of ammo and one 10 rnd mag. No luck on finding ammo or mags for awhile I think.. ;)

Carter's Country in Spring has them, but very limited stock. I bought one with the Tapco tactical stock last Friday... they also had it with the Ruger factory tactical stock (black composite). You may want to check Carter's Pasadena location...

The pink stock can be dyed easily to any color you want for about $10.
