There was some discussion here before the session started about putting some teeth into the provision that government offices can't post 30.06 signs. Has that gone anywhere? Thanks!

Bill Status Report :
HB508 (Guillen, D, A+): Relating to certain laws relating to carrying concealed handguns on property owned or leased by a governmental entity; creating an offense.
Impact: Creates a Class C offense for any public employee to give notice or post a sign pursuant to TPC ยง30.06 on property that is not already statutorily off-limits to CHL's. Every day the sign is posted is a separate offense. Also limits areas off-limits for government meetings.
Status: Referred to Criminal Jurisprudence Committee 2/13/13.
Position on Bill: Support; excellent bill.
