The above link is to a story in the Associated Press about how the Texas Department of Criminal Justice
prisons in Beaumont and Beeville are implementing cellphone blocking systems. Only authorized cellphones will be
allowed to operate within the prisons' walls.
It's rather eye-opening that gang members in one of the above prison sites were selling vehicles stolen in Texas to
Mexican drug cartels.
2011 - Texas DCJ seized 630 cellphones.
2012 - Texas DCJ seized 738 cellphones.
All these phones were smuggled into "secure" prisons.
As a parallel thought to the above problem: It's not logical for "anti's" to assume that even if they could confiscate
all American guns, that gangbangers would go without THEIR guns.
If they can get cellphones in prison, nothing would prevent them from getting guns when they are out of prison.
