Had a disappointing voice mail message today from Premier. Similar to that now on their web site : http://premiergunshows.com/shows/lewisville-gun-show/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Next show was scheduled to be last weekend of April. Then not another one there until late September. Cause stated previously of no summer show due to poor air conditioning. "Lease issue" said on their web site to be curent reason. :grumble

The last gun show we went to was in Lewisville quite a while back. We didn't realize how many bargains we were looking at back then! We only bought one Magpul 30 rd. windowed, AR mag for about $15.00. I have regretted not buying more, could have made some money lately! :banghead:

That's bad news. Lewisville was the easiest show for me to get to, was always busy and generally had better vendors. The last one was packed.

That is unfortunate. I also liked the Lewisville shows. They are the closest to me.

Bummer, I only go to the Lewisville show and Market Hall, Lewisville being the closest!! There have been huge lines around to the back of the building, lots of "open to view" guns and ammo......people selling out of their cars/trucks set up sort of to the side and in front, etc.....wondering if that didn't have something to do with it!!!

They did say "lease issues," so I wonder if the owner tried to up the lease due to the popularity of gun shows.

Yeah, "lease issues" could mean many things.....just wondering if they wanted more money or if they wanted the show to move somewhere else due to anti-gun pressure (my anti-gun suspicions once again overcoming me).....you would have thought that the lease was already in place so maybe it really is a heating/air issue. I know the last show I went was just to check ONE vendor's inventory and when I got in they had the back doors wide open trying to get air into the place....not the best thing to have to do. I hope they get it resolved but then again, none of the vendors had any guns to sell that were on my list and I don't think they will for a long time. Nothing I "need" but when I want something, I am not very patient in waiting for it, especially since it appears it may be a rather long drought!!! Thank goodness I was already stocked up on ammo from several years ago.

I remember that one. I thought it was hot because there were so many people in there.

I've always wondered how the other tenants in the area felt as the entire parking lots around the area fill up with gun show folks.

Michelle called me tonight to get address for table refund - and explained the "lease issue". It seems Premier was sub-leasing the old "Best Buy" store building from a guy who had named it "Lewisville Event Center". They and some other users had been paying him. The problem though, is he was not paying the building owner. Or the electric bill. :banghead:

She asked that if we know of another similar facility coming available in the Lewisville area, to let her know.
