I will be going to Colorado this summer. Do we know if they are going to have any changes in our ability to CC. I know they are currently recipricoal with Texas CHL but I know the anti gun whackos are making some major pushes and so I was wondering if that is going to change the reciprocity.

we were going to transit through co this summer on our way to sd and wyo
but now its a choice of not giving them any of my hard earned money in fuel or stay over costs, so we re-outed and will bypass the entire state

I have family there and she is not happy we will be bypassing....
I would check for updates prior to your trip, you just never know....
right now as I understand the rules still apply....but

A major reason tons of folks are not going is because of the unconstitutional laws being passed in Colorado. They don't see you as a citizen with rights, they see you as menace to society and the laws are structured as such.

I would pick a different location to spend the summer vacation or whatever, if possible.
And, if possible, I would write the governor and let him know why.

I had planned to go to Colorado for some skiing this winter, but now, I'll just got to Utah or somewhere else that better agrees with my citizenship rights.

And, yes, I'll be send the loopy governor a note telling him as much.

Unfortunately, I have to go to Colorado at the end of May. It's not optional. I am wondering the same thing about being able to carry. I will likely fly into Denver and then rent a car to get to my meeting in a city 2 hours away. I am not keen on driving back into the mountains without my handgun, but I do not need to find myself in trouble with the law there either. With all the upset the new laws have caused, I can imagine there are some people who would be eager to throw the book at anyone they can. Particularly in Denver. I can not afford that.

I certainly don't like the laws recently passed, but I don't anticipate any problems with carrying concealed up there. I make several trips each year to my cabin in the southwest mountains and I can assure you that the folks on the western ranges do NOT share the views of the people in Denver and Boulder. I've been going up there for almost 30 years and have developed close friendships with alot of the full-time residents including several of the Sheriff's deputies. Most of them work a couple of different jobs to be able to live there year-round, because they love the outdoor lifestyle, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, etc...and almost everyone owns firearms and at least carries a gun in the truck at all times, and they don't care what the people in the cities say about it.

Don't take any magazine that holds more than 15 rounds. It may not be a problem since your magazine will have been made prior to their crazy stupid law becoming effective, but you never know. Who knows how they will treat free people traveling through their state.

I wouldn't worry about reciprocity, I would though, take the advice to limit magazine capacity to 15 rounds. Who needs the headache of dealing with a LEO on that issue. I also concur that eastern slope folks and flatlanders are a different breed from those who inhabit the western slope of the divide, that was true long before the California immigrant population became politically dominant.

I agree with the magazine solution...

I have kept some of those under-capacity mags from the last go around, just in case...

But, they never said anything about how many you could carry on your person...
