Hmm. Daily caller maybe is not the most neutral source to quote, but I saw the banner myself on Google. Maybe I go back to Dogpile for my searches again.
These are easy simple choices for us, but they apparently have consequences.

I use it a lot and doing so hasn't caused me any grief - that I'm aware of...
If it's doing so stealthily, please explain.
Thanks

Yeah I saw that too this morning, made me want to puke. I didn't know about Dogpile, but I added it this morning. However, you realize that it pulls results from Google, Yahoo and Yandex anyways right? Can't get away from Google unfortunately.

I'm almost sure google in the USA makes an attempt to stay un-religious, going back through years of graphics on google doodles they're pretty much that style, with the rare doodle. They always remember Mother's day though and quite often thank US Veterans! I wish they'd let me shop for my guns again though as well!

They punish "unbelievers" in Saudi Arabia. I like to think the United States has more tolerance for religious choices.

If they had left it blank, that would have been fine. I understand being worldwide and not wanting to appear religious. However, later in the article they mentioned global warming and Google's support for that "religion". Sorry they have lost me as a customer.
In case you missed this. Amazing no one in the US media picked it up. Weird.

I quit using Google long ago, mostly for privacy reasons. I like duckduckgo.com and recommend it to anyone.

I don't understand what you mean by this. I haven't had any trouble shopping for guns with google. I have noticed the advertisements from things I've searched for, but like Abraham, I haven't noticed it causing me any grief yet.

For Firefox users
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... src=search" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
adds Dogpile as a choice
http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/search/home" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I told my brother about Dogpile around 1998 or so when I wrote an article about MetaSearch Engines and various other specialized Search Engines... he never switched to Google.
I'm switching back to Dogpile too, Why use Google if
1) Google Analytics tries to track every move (Ghostery blocks)
2) they don't let you shop for guns n fun stuff
3) They celebrate Cesar Chavez Birthday instead of Easter
I might use the G people some, but switching who is "Default"
Others:
Metacrawler isn't bad... they almost all search the G one
http://www.metacrawler.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.webcrawler.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.mamma.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The mother of all search engines

I worship a risen King. The world, which I am in, but not of, is going to do whatever it does. If I only did business with people who genuinely worshipped Jesus today, I'd have to drop most of my business connections, including from people who self-identify as at least nominal Christians. I worshipped today, and didn't notice Google because I was focused on my King. Is it pitiful that they didn't recognize the occasion? Yes, it is......but they'll tell you that they wouldn't want to tick off muslims or jews or hindus.......so instead they recognized a communist union organizer.

No, and yes. I recently switched to using Startpage
https://startpage.com/eng/
I gather that it uses Google as a source, but its more private. They don't store your searches, for example. You use it...when you're done, the results are gone. I don't really have anything to hide, I just don't like some company storing info on me about random stuff in my life. The government already has enough info as it is.
