Whats next: a "Bedroom Tax"

Well this is not what I thought it was going to be. It is not a tax. Defining the language apparently is how you win the battle of public opinion. For example: opposite sex marriage.

Londoner's are protesting a "bedroom tax". Apparently if you are a person who lives alone, but live for free in a two or three bedroom apartment and are of working age in England your cash welfare benefits will be cut by $20 dollars a week.

Once living off the dole is a way of life, any cuts are a "tax".

A bad name but a good idea. If someone getting welfare has a free place to live, their handout should be reduced by the amount that's for housing. Better there should be no welfare handouts, but we can't get there peacefully.

This isn't new. The earned income tax credit in the United States can result in a negative tax, where the IRS pays them instead of the taxpayer [sic] playing the IRS.
