Be sure and take some drone loads with you when you hunt!

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is actively shopping for a drone that would "stalk hunters," the organization said Monday.

In addition to just shooting the little robot peeping toms out of the sky, I'd be curious what attorneys and courts would say about this practice over private hunting land? Real property rights generally extend from the ground upward to infinity, and seems infringing on those rights without sufficient cause would amount to trespassing.

This has been going on for a while now. And hunters have been shooting them down for a while now. Hopefully it gets so expensive that PETA will give it up.

I think I'll take my own when I go hunting then... but mine will be cheap and disposable.

I thought harassing hunters is a crime in Texas?

If they try it here, I'd like to see them charged, tried, and convicted.

"Honest, sir, I thought it was a bird I was shooting at!" :biggrinjester:

I checked the hunting regulations and I don't see drones listed as a protected species, nor does there seem to be a bag limit, and a migratory bird stamp is not required :-)

They are an invasive species so there is no closed season. Might need a hunting license though.

do drones have to identify themselves with a decal or something to let you know if its a leo drone or a private?
how do drones taste? like burnt chicken?
i would be very upset if a drone flew over while i was doing some dove hunting or other....
wonder if we could capture one and hold it hostage or reprogram it to fly somewhere it shouldnt?????

we could bring jammers to the hunt and topple them :biggrinjester:

what if a drone goes awry and flies into a hunter and does damage or death

You guys, this is what MadMonkey does for a living.....in a far away land, no less. I suggest we make him chief technology officer and head drone assassin. MadMonkey, how much would it cost to keep you in a supply of cheap "drones?"

Last I heard, PETA claimed they had two million drones.

Hmm.... if they're within my line of site, I wouldn't even need guidance or video, so I could make do with a $70 RC combat plane. If they're farther away than I can see, I'll have to add a camera system which would be another $200-300.

I could keep the price down if we manage to scavenge parts from my kamikaze planes and their downed aircraft

Maybe something like this: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/02 ... nce-drone/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. They claim they were perfectly legal. They were over the public road. Their camera was aimed over the trees and into private property. Nuff said.
