What an old fashioned idea it is that your children belong to you and you care more about them than anyone else - at least according to liberals.

Phil Gramm had the perfect retort, however.

Ex-Sen. Phil Gramm liked to illustrate the hollowness of professions to the contrary with a story. He told a woman, “My educational policies are based on the fact that I care more about my children than you do.” She said, “No, you don’t.” Gramm replied, “OK: What are their names?”

Names aren't important to liberals, because people aren't important to liberals. The promotion of the state is what matters.

Progressives and the left hate good parents because we love our kids enough to teach them good things and it does not play to their agenda. They also have this obsession with fairness, and trying to make life fair. It is not fair that some kids have two loving parents and others don't.


Finally most liberals don't want to worry with the bother of having more than one child. My most liberal friends have high school are just no getting around to having their first child if any. They are busy pursuing their careers. But they know that demographically that won't work out well for them, so they intend to steal our children by hook or by crook. Our love for our children gets in the way of that.
