Can anyone help me with gunbroker?

I'm wanting to buy a gun, and for the third time, I have been flagged as 'suspicious' when trying to register. I know the gun is going to go fast. Their customer service is worthless.

Gunbroker ... how can I say this politely? ... has issues.

If I recall correctly, you have to put in your real name, address, phone number, and a credit card number. I did it years ago and had no problem with that. Maybe if one of those items of information doesn't jibe, they flag it.

What is the URL of the piece that you are trying to buy?

PM sent. And yes, they have issues. Incredibly frustrating. Your account has been flagged, sorry if it's an inconvenience to you. That's it. No other options other than emailing customer service, which last time I did, it took over 3 days to get a reply.

I replied to your PM as best I could.

I used to look at Gunbroker daily, but it seemed like they had a lot of ridiculously overpriced stuff that never sold, and sellers listing the same thing repeatedly.

I've had better luck with Auction Arms. A lot more auctions close there.

I bought a left-handed Ruger Gunsite Scout over GunBroker a few months ago....my first and only transaction there. I gave them no credit card number. I won the auction from a dealer in Pennsylvania and got the gun for $50.00 less than I could have locally. With freight and the FFL transfer, it was a wash price-wise, but they had several left-handed ones in stock......which nobody local had. Once I won the auction, I dealt directly with the seller, gave them my CC info by phone, and about 4 or 5 days later I had the rifle in hand. Easy peasy.

I can't speak for how other sellers do things, but I would buy another rifle without hesitation from the folks I dealt with...if I couldn't find it locally at an equitable price.

Unfortunately, it's a buy now, their only one in stock. It is a decent size gun store in MN. I'll wait until the morning if all else fails, to call them, but I'm sure it will be gone by then.

Call the gun store in the AM, see if they'll sell it over the phone instead, I'll bet they will. I got a Sig P220 that way, I just wanted to ensure that a certain item in the photo was actually included and they took my order over the phone. Too easy!

ETA of course, have all your FFL info ready!

That's what I'll do assuming it's still there. It's listed with a buy it now at almost a $100 less than what the same one is being bidden on right now.

Thanks

Well, follow through on getting your account fixed. Then you are prepared for the next time you see a gun you want.

Think I'll take my business elsewhere.
