Hello, I am pretty computer savvy, but I am having a problem with my PC reading this hard drive. It is a Seagate Barracuda 2TB (seagate barracuda st2000dm001) and "My Computer" will not read it. I used to run 2 hard drives on the PC before and it is normally just plug it in and it works. My motherboard and device manager are reading and showing the hard drive. I should not have to partition it, r format it. Maybe I am missing a step to get this working.
Thanks for those who can help.
If you need computer specs; ask, but you shouldn't need them.

Hardware Conflict? (probably not, but check device manager)

Old computer? ... 300 MB/s HDD pushing data into a 150 MB/s pipe?... Jumper setting fix?

I got it working..It was a partition problem. I don't remember having to partition it when I first built it with the first 2 hard drives..Its a 2010 model PC..You could consider it old now, because I bought the parts when they were top of the line, but all the parts are now discontinued. lol
