It is posted 51%. I asked the owner about it since they sell hamburgers and an occasional beer. Well, They opened the Cypress Saloon out back and were told by TABC representative that they have to post the 51% signs at the front door to the restaurant. They do not even keep beer in the eating part any more. If you want a beer, the food part calls the saloon part and beer is brought up.
Strange but she seemed to know what she was talking about.
Just to keep you guys informed
thanks

That would be correct, if its truely 51%. As long as the Saloon can serve its alcohol in the Eatery it would be under one Alcohol License.

The only way the Eatery would be separate would be if it had its own Alcohol, separate from the Saloon. Then the Eatery would probably not be 51%.

How about taking the name and address of this place and sending it to:
complaints@tabc.state.tx.us.

They can then go out and determine that a 51% sign is called for. The "saloon" would have to do a hell of a business, since it is ONE license.

Or it may be poor communications/training of someone along the way.

If they are the same business then how could they be making 51% of their sales off of alcoholic beverages?

I do not disagree with any of you. The owner lady and I had a nice long conversation about it and she said that TABC representative told her that the sign had to go on the front window. I just left my revolver in the trunk. so I could enjoy one of the best burgers in Texas. Wife and I ate on front porch.
HMMM, the sign was in front window "behind" porch. Maybe I should have sent my wife in to order and just sat on the porch <grin>
