Scored 556 at Pearland Walmart

Did my daily ammo check at the east Pearland Walmart after dropping the kids at school.
Not expecting anything I saw Winchester 556/ 20 rd on the shelf. at .60/rd
Bought my 3 box daily limit, went home to get the wife for Starbucks, stopped back by walmart so she could by her 3 box limit. 2 boxes left as of 8 am.

$0.60 a squeeze...yeowch.
Glad you could at least find some. This working during the day thing really stinks for finding ammo deals in stores.

556 is pricy but some are charging that for 223. I have another month or so before I finish my first AR so it would be nice to have some rounds around when I am ready for its first range trip.
I am already collecting parts for my second build, a deticated .22 pink AR for the wife and girls.

A week ago my local Walmart had independence 5.56 for 49 cents a round. The shocking part was it stayed on the shelf for a couple days!

I managed to score three 100 round boxes of Federal .223 at WM while I was in San Antonio over the weekend. Showed up at 6:30 to find I was 6th in line, luckily the guys in front of me all wanted 9mm and .22.
