And They Call US Dumb

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -
Management at the Goodrich Capital 8 Theaters is defending what it calls a publicity stunt at the movie theaters this past weekend.
During the opening weekend of the latest 'Iron Man' movie, a man walked into the theater in full tactical gear and carrying a fake gun.
Capital 8 Theaters manager Bob Wilkins told ABC 17 News this was planned months in advance and only a few people were upset, but hundreds were entertained.
When asked if management took into consideration what happened in the the mass shooting at a Colorado movie theater, Wilkins responded, "Absolutely. That's my number-one priority every day. It's the safety and security of our guests."

You won't catch me taking any similar acting gig.
Hopefully it was patently obvious that the guns were fake.
Coulda gone wrong real fast.
Imagine the backlash if a CHL shot the actor..? It'd be proof for the Brady folks that citizens can't be trusted with guns.

I'd take it more as proof that idiots shouldn't be managers... of anything... (and that one simple rule would make many workplaces
so much better)

The population of Missouri is less, but will bet you per capita that there are as many CHL holders. I am surprised the guy didn't get plugged.

Let's go the what if route.
What if a CHL did shot the man and the gun was real looking? I could easily make the leap that anyone walking in to a packed theater was not there for my entertainment.

Common guys, it's not like they sent a couple of masked "gunmen" into a school staff meeting. I mean nobody would do something that stupid, right?
