A Funny Buffalo Wild Wings Sign

I laughed out loud and walked in to pick up my wings.
The sign just seems to me like a child playing make believe. "I ban you!" as the child waves their "magic wand" around...
My guess is that either they are just completely ignorant or the manager knows its not enforceable and so decided to put up a sign they know we will ignore but will still appease corporate.
I know, BWW posts are a dime a dozen, but this sign was new to me. they only had the "unlicensed" signs there in the past.

The one in Plano just south of Spring Creek and 75 has had that sign for a while. I just do the ole SMH thing and mosey on by.

I'll stick to Wing Stop. IMO, I like them better and they are closer to me.
Wait, I can see it coming. The which one is better debate.

That sign implies that it was the wings themselves that issued the ban. The management of the company that serves them was not involved.
I wonder what would happen if a customer walked up to the counter and asked to speak to the head wing who doesn't like guns? If guns can be evil, I guess buffalo wings can issue bans.

I dunno. When I eat wings, I get sauce everywhere - face, hands, arms, shirt, even in my socks. I don't think I could draw my hogleg without dropping it. Maybe it's best not to carry there.

Apparently a corporate policy and it seems they pulled a Denny's just last month. I can't say I have seen even that sign at mine though.

Back in January I heard about the policy (the location I used to go to was not posted) and emailed to see what the official stance was. The short story is that company owned stores have a no guns policy (which is implemented through signs that are not 30.06 compliant) and franchise owned locations set their own policy.
Here is the email I received in response to my inquiry (and my response)
Mr. Sangiovese,
Thank you very much for your time to contact us. I wanted to relay the corporate statement regarding the topic of your comment. We would prefer to not provide any additional commentary on the topic. Please take note that our Franchise owned restaurants have the choice whether or not they want to allow guns or not.
Gun Ban Statements: 12/12/12
Company-owned statement:
“Buffalo Wild Wings respects the right of individuals to carry firearms. One of our top priorities is the comfort, safety and enjoyment of our Guests and we have elected to exercise our right to prohibit the carrying of firearms in our company owned restaurants. We regret any inconvenience this may cause but believe that this policy is in the best interest of our Guests and our Team Members. Policy may vary in independently owned franchised locations. ”

Thank you for your clear response. Although I completely support Buffalo Wild Wings' right to set a policy prohibiting firearms on its property, I must express my disappointment with the policy in the only way that really matters. In the future I will patronize restaurants that value my safety enough to not ask that I leave myself and my family vulnerable to deranged individuals like the Luby's shooter.

There's something about being safe from open carry gun monkeys and their Wyatt Earp fantasies about shooting it out with the bad guys that strikes me as mentally unstable. Keep up the good work BWW. I'll be back.
Though I would smile as I walked past their sign, there is no way that a trip to BWW is in my future. Wing Stop is better.

We all owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Cotton and all the other people responsible for implementing 30.06 in Texas.
There are many states where Buffalo Wild Wings posts a similar "no guns" sign and the sign has the force of law.
Personally, 30.06 compliant or not, I will not give BW3 any of my business because their anti-gun stance is well known. Their food is crap anyway.

Yup. Even though they do not post compliant signs, their stance is clear. It's probably only a matter of time before they do figure out the law in Texas. Forget 'em.

Good for Buffalo Wild Wings! I will eat there whenever I can. If more people and establishments showed this kind of courage we wouldn't have all the senseless gun violence we have now. What if that movie theater in Colorado had that policy. Then maybe that tragedy would have been averted. Hey, hey NRA, how many kids did you kill today?????
I'm sorry, I'm..... you...... the....... the stupidity of that comment on that WP post literally hurts, like physical pain, my brain.
So apparently, if there were "No Guns" signs in Aurora, the gunman wouldn't have gone in?
Excuse me while I go weep for this country....
