I picked up my son from school and on the way home we were stopped at 377 & North Tarrant Parkway waiting for the train to pass. I saw the plastic fly even though this guy was on the other side of the train. I don't know how in the world he got that close unless he hit the gas instead of the brake. Train didn't even feel it and kept right on moving. He's pretty darn lucky!!!!

The train always wins.

Well, this is a quiet zone (no train horn) so he could say that he didn't hear it, see the big shinny metal bars or all the blinking lights. He ran in to the side of the train car after a dozen or so had past. It's not like the locomotive engine hit him.

Yes, they were up at this point. Actually, one of the gates caught on the truck carnage and was swinging hard as it was going up. It is what caught my sons attention at first. I was on the other side of the crossing and this is after the train had passed and traffic began to flow again.

That is real close to me, I drive by that several times a day.

I have been told that when a vehicle collides with a train, though it's almost always the fault of the vehicle, the railroad companies usually throw a cash settlement out to avoid a lawsuit.

Looks like he decided he couldn't Dodge the train, so he just Rammed it instead...
