Just heard on the scanner that the Chicago police do not respond to simple assault calls. Guess they are to busy chasing the gangbangers that are running around shooting each other.

ok sarcasm off, really the LEO's in Chicago could care less about the citizenry of the city, they don't want to get into a gangland war with the hoodrats that they call soldiers(choke choke) the dirtbags and the douchebags don't want to compete against each other professional courtesy as the say, kinda like lawyers and snakes/sharks. they have more important things to do like go to the credit union and check if their check has been deposited this month or the do-nut shop might be having a sale and they don't want to miss it. so remember anywhere in Illinois is not where you want to be Chicago or not

You know that simple assault is things like a woman slapping a man for making a crude comment.

A simple assault here in Texas is a class C which is the equivalent of a traffic ticket. Mind you how would they know what it is going to be considered and if the actor is there.......
Most likely it is if you want to make a report of a Simple Assault they want you to call in instead of sending a cop out to take a report. Makes sense to me.
