Samsung Galaxy S IV

The wife and I have had the Galaxy S III since they came out a couple years ago. When the new S IV came out, I wanted one since it is in my early adopter genes.
I was looking around and I came across an article about Best Buy's trade in program. Long story short, I traded in my S III, got $250 for it, bought an S IV and a case and walked out with about $6 on a gift card. Next, I have to call AT&T for them to credit back the upgrade fee. They usually do this for long time customers. All it cost was another 2 year agreement. So far, I like the changes to the phone and software.

Let us know what you think about the phone. I've read alot of mixed info about it on Cnet, BGR, etc. I've been sorely disappointed with my Droid3, and I'm finally up for a renewal. (I previously had a Droid OG and loverd it.)

Coming from the S III, so far I love it. The software update from 4.1 to 4.2 is great and some of the features I wanted to see were added. You can easily get overloaded with all the new tech that was added. It seems quicker than the S III but that could be my perception. Screen is just as bright as the last model but not as bright as some manufacturers are. I did a battery test yesterday and for me, it lasted longer than my S III did. Again, this wasn't scientific. I just didn't plug it in.

I would imagine it would be around $350. Have you checked their website?

For those looking at the Note line, take note :) that if you talk on the phone alot you will need a bluetooth headset. Holding this ridiculous brick of a phone they call the Note 2 up to my head just doesnt work for long periods of time :)
Its awesome to watch TV on though.

Hey I resemble that remark. I LOVE my note! It's the best phone I have ever had and I have had a cell phone since 1994...
The only problem with the Note is the attention it garners. It is slowing down now but normally when I pull it out I get at least one person that wants to see it...
Really funny HTC commercial...

I considered the Note 2 for a long while before deciding on my S3. I'm glad I did as I think that much phone would be onerous to tote around. I love my S3 except for the awful battery life. It would figure that they release an S4 not long after I got mine.
Also I did not know that about the upgrade fee, that is good to know for next time.

That is exactly why I picked up a Note... My battery lasts 3 days on a full charge...

Try the ASUS fonepad instead.

Two of my partners on patrol had notes. I would walk around and put my ear up to large objects pretending to talk on the phone when they were around.

I traded my Galaxy S2 Skyrocket in towards a Galaxy S4 a couple weeks ago. AT&T gave me $100 off the S4 upgrade cost for the S2Sky. I love the S4. Perfect size for me. Not as big as the note but still plenty big enough. The chassis is the same size as the S3, but the screen is bigger. The battery life of the S4 is excellent, too.
