Guess who I just ran into in the parking lot...

Philip Schreier. If that name doesn't sound familiar, I didn't to me either. He did look familiar though, but I couldn't place him. Turns out he's the Senior Curator of the NRA Museum.
My wife and I are in Springfield, MO looking for houses for our move later this month. We'd just pulled into our hotel and were getting ready to walk in when he walked by. When I saw him unpack several large cardboard boxes with "Federal Ammunition" on the side I put two and two together as it were. Turns out the NRA is moving a significant number of items from their VA museum to a new location in Springfield in conjunction with Bass Pro Shop's HQ. Its scheduled to open on July 4th. This may be old news to some, but its the first I've heard of it.
In any case, very nice guy and very willing to talk.
