I made the mistake of clicking it, and my AVG anti-virus program detected "Trojan Horse Generic29.AHHS" virus.

its a JPG its very unlikely to be infected

I run a couple forums like this and host a couple more - Its not uncommon for people to claim that a forum is infected however if it really were infected it would impact EVERY ONE - not just one random computer ...

Since Charles doesn't run any banner ads, it CANT be an infected ad that only one or 2 see, which means again - if the site was infected EVERYONE would be seeing the same infection ....

there are hundreds of PCs connecting to the sites per hour. if it were really a problem with the site at least 50% of the PCs would be seeing the same thing - the other 50% wouldn't have decent AV software

translating: if YOUR pc is detecting something the FIRST thing to check is YOUR pc
Run Malware bytes and see what it finds

I made the post (not complaining) but trying to find out if anyone else was having a similar problem. I have since determined that it was contained in my FF Cache and therefore reoccurring even after MSSE detected it and quarantined it.

I cleared my FF Cache and it has not reappeared.

Thanks to those that responded.

I keep getting this virus warning when I log in.
HTML/Iframe B.Gen virus

http://www.texaschlforum.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It quarantines it everytime.

Scan your PC with an online scanner like Trend Micro and see iff it finds anything.

On the PCs at work, I've had good luck (AFAIK) with Microsoft's free software.

I used to work for MS. Starting in customer service and moved up to Tier 3 OS support (MS called it "OS Engineering" at the time). We used to joke about Windows itself being a virus and how amazing it was that virus scanners didn't quarantine the entire OS. :smilelol5:

At work we use ESET anti-virus. I ran a scan and found 5 problems, all from this site. Just got another 2mins ago.

Post the results here of the scan here. I don't believe the site is downloading viruses onto your machine.
