Im still waiting for BG check to show completed & will be ready to carry soon.
I plan to carry a Glock 17 gen 4 when I get my CHL. Is it safe to carry it in a good Leather hip (Belt) conceal holster chambered? The holster covers the Triger gaurd.
The gun conceals well with my build. LOL
I have a stainless Ruger P95 with inside the waist holster but the decocker make it unconfortable . Both guns 9MM

Been in BG under review for 4 days now!!!! LOL. :biggrinjester
I alway had to look when asked for my DL number -Not anymore! LOL. Time for another status check..........

I have a P95 and the Beretta storm compact. Both of these have the decocker, and I wondered how comfortable it might be IWB with this mechanism. ;-)

Welcome to the forum everyone. I carry A Beretta in a owb on my hip. Always one in the chamber. I also have my holster on a seperate belt not through the belt loops. I got a good 1.75" belt to carry from bullhide belts

The thing that concerns me about one in the chamber with the Glock 17 G4 is will fire if trigger pulled Im wondering if its safe to carry the way.Has trigger safty only. I think the seporate belt is a good Idea. Im may see if that work for me when I get my CHL LOL. :-)

My Beretta has a decock. I know they say not to ever trust a safety but I feel safer carrying this one rather than my XDM 45. which is striker fired. I always prefered a hammer :fire

My CHL is in the mail and on it's way to me, so I've only been carrying on my own property. My two carry guns are a S&W 586 w/ 4in barrel, and a Sig P239. I use Simply Rugged Holsters for both, and have gotten used to wearing them IWB with the optional straps. The S&W revolver obviously has no safety, neither does the Sig, it has a decocker. I wear a thick and stiff leather belt and pants that are 2in. wider in the waist. Even the rather bulky S&W is neatly concealed despite my small stature of 5'3" and 130lbs. It's all about the right holster and clothes :thumbs2:

I think that is the way I will go, OWB also. Either that or get bigger pants!

I have an OWB leather Holter it conceals my Glock 17 Gen4 real well. I have been reading a lot of CHL related books that talk about holsters for concealment.
I found out the Glock is safe to carry loaded with the 3 trigger safties. Im a south Paw & on my left hip just a llittle behind the hip boune is best for me.
I even conceals with a size up T shirt. I think by the time my CHL get here I will be ready. Also I try to practice Mass Ayoob tactics. But Ammo is so expensive I havre to do a lot Dry firing!!! LOL :fire
