Anyone flown recently to Canada and know if you can opt out of the X-ray machines? I know they do pat-downs, and I know they have the scanners, but I can't seem to find any place that says travelers have a right to choose.

The
http://www.catsa.gc.ca" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; website doesn't explicitly say you can opt out but it does say the zapper "provides you with a choice between full body scanning and a physical search if you are selected for additional screening." So if you're willing to get frisked, it seems like you can choose that instead. Good luck, eh.

Thank you! That's about all I could find too. It's not so much that I would prefer to get frisked so much as I would rather not irradiate my unborn child. Would rather not have to deal with the bull at all!! :D
Funny that both the US and Canadian govts say the radiation is safe, but no docs will agree, eh?!
