I have already stated in several of my posts that I'm not too bright , that said I'm having mental and emotional problems now . The new Lone Ranger movie that is out has brought on a certain amount of Psychological stress for me . I grew up in the 50's and 60's watching The Lone Ranger and His steadfast friend clean up the wild west , mainly Texas as he was a Texas ranger before he went independent . Tonto was a clean cut , intelligent , loyal sidekick that had manners , made friends easy , never failed to show up to bail his friend out of danger . This was Jay Silverheels as I remember him .

Could someone please explain the new Tonto for me , there has got to be a story here !

I can handle the new Lone Ranger , looks like maybe he went corperate and having his dud's dry cleaned now but what the heck happened to Tonto !! He looks like he ought to be on the Walking Dead series . Did he die at some point and they dug him up for this movie ? Did he go on tour with Kiss ? And PLEASE explain his hat for me or did that grackle bird just die there and he dosent know it yet ? Any help you could provide would be appreciated .

Quien sabe, Kemosabe. I might watch it on Netflix some day but I'm not paying money to see it.

It is not really different from the Batman or Spiderman movies. The stuff of the 60's and 70's was silly and corny, even though they were not written that way. And while the stories were darker in theme to begin with, the new world of action movies would never make any money if they didn't make them over the top and go way beyond what was ever written originally.

Wow this is 'hip' the Lone Ranger ought to have his 'pants on the ground ' and be shootin gang signs, he be cool huh ? Over the top ? Yea I can see that . Think I'll hold off on this one . I recomend the original for your kids . This is the first one , explains a lot .

Tonto is played by Johnny Depp. What do you expect? He had leftovers from his Pirates roles and wanted to use them again.

I'm sure our modern politically-correct society could not allow the indian to be the white man's sidekick, so they have to make Tonto as much the lead as the Ranger. Hence spotlight Tonto.

Sure, easy peasy.......... It's Johnny Depp, playing Keith Richards as Captain Jack Sparrow playing Tonto.......wearing a gris-gris mask. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I fully expect him to tell fortunes in the blood of chickens or something.

We could possibly be blood related Annoyed Man , kinda scary huh ?
