When were waiting in Background Check: Under Review status is the actual check really under way or just sitting in another Que????

I believe that its underway. They are checking prints, the county you live in, NCIC and FBI + state records.

Thanks Gunner. It's good to know there working on it. In 2003 I had a Top Security Clearance to access Militarry computers for service. & in the late 90's I had a securtity guard Hand gun Commission. Other than that I have a spotless record.
Im going to be 60 this year & if they take too long I wont remember what Im waiting for!!!!! LOL.

I know the feeling I am getting up there to - 56 I also had a Hangun Commission back in 1980. My bg check was fast, I'm just glad its over.
I also have a Virginia non-res CHL. I had it a 2 months before I got Tx but never carried with it alone. I just didnt feel right with it.

It's funny how somr BG checks only take 5 day & other much longer. all with spotless records?

I've never seen so many anxious people in my life including me Now that my wait is over and unemployed now I have lots of time.
My company filed chapter 11 and folded

Hate to hear about the job. Mine ended after 25 years in 2000. I have changed a lot of things since then and can honestly say it was for the better. ( I just did not know it then)
