I know these are fairly new, but figured I'd post it up in case anyone sees one...or for some strange reason wants to get rid of theirs :lol:

http://www.iwi.us/tavor.html - I'm looking for the model "TSFD16".

Thanks!

Supply is VERY tight right now. Your best bet, unfortunately, is a place like Gunbroker, where you can expect to pay between 2100-2500 for a gun that's supposed to sell at 1999 retail.

Of course, when you consider that if you bought _inside_ Texas, you're looking at about an extra $160 in sales tax, that kind of puts it in perspective.

Good luck!

Ya, I've been watching gunbroker for a while but have never bought from there and would prefer not to (scared of the unknown and all :biggrinjester: ). I've signed up on a few different places for email notifications when they get one in stock, but I'm trying to cast the net as far as I can.

Good point on the tax...so are you saying if I buy on gunbroker from an out of state seller, then I would not have to pay tax? That may be the way to go if that's the case.

Thanks for the info!

Yup. This is why it sucks to be a gun dealer. Just ask me :lol: People find it's MUCH cheaper to buy a gun from out of state and pay the $20-ish for a transfer than to buy from a small dealer and pay the $100-200-ish dollars extra. I can't compete against that! I had an ACOG for sale at a very good price (slightly less than a couple of popular online places), but the taxes pushed the final price up $100 more! So, people come in, fondle the ACOG, say, "Wow! I have got to get one of these!" and then go home and order from OpticsPlanet, etc. *Sigh*

Of course, TECHNICALLY, you're still required to pay tax on items you buy from out of state. It's called a "Use Tax" though, not a sales tax. However, it's voluntary compliance, since Texas doesn't really do much tax enforcement at the individual level. Feel free to download the form and send your payment in if you feel guilty about the new gun or HDTV :lol: http://www.window.state.tx.us/taxinfo/use/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
