Hi all

I recently acquired an auction lot of 5.56mm/223 once fired brass. This particular lot is from Nellis AFB, has been tumbled in crushed walnut, and the vast majority is LC04 & LC08, with a little bit of LC01, LC05 and LC98 in there. I have not spotted any non-LC head stamps.

Prices are:
500 cases - $74.99
1000 cases - $149.98

I've got a bit more than 40k left at this point. I ship USPS flat rate priority mail: medium is $12 for 1,500, large is $16 for up to 2,500. I pay for insurance, too.

Misc info
I provide a 3% volume overage on the brass to account for any unusable cases.

Payment
I accept Paypal and credit cards (I don't charge a 3% overage for PP) although for the Texas CHL Forum members, I can make a special offer. For members of this forum who meet the "for sale" guidelines, I will accept a USPS money order or a personal check. The check will need to clear before I ship, but I wanted to make that available for those who would prefer to use those methods.

Thanks,
OnceFired

Tell us a little more about this brass?

Have the primer pockets been swaged?

Would you gauge it to be Grade 2 or Grade 3 brass?

It would be cheaper to buy 2 of the 500/ct cases ($199.98) than one 1000/ct case.($199.99)

The brass would be considered Grade 2, as it has been tumbled but has otherwise not been processed. Primers are still crimped.

And I can fix that one-penny difference. :) Good catch there.

(edited for point about crimps)

It would be cheaper to buy from Midway or Natchez! :???:

My prices are actually pulled right from MidwayUSA and Widener's for the same product at the time I acquired the auction. The difference mostly is they are both out of stock while I am not, and I tumble mine clean while they do not.

As for Natchezss, they do offer unfired (new) Lake City brass. But those are also out of stock.

I am actually selling the brass at break-even levels. I'm not here to gouge anyone - just trying to sell some of what I have. I got these from this auction If you do the math on the auction + the costs surrounding just acquiring the brass, you'll see what I mean.

And now that I can include cost averaging in my prices (new inventory added lowers my overall cost) I can pass that on to you.
