I've been hand loading for a couple of years. It wasn't hard to tell back in December last year that more people were getting into it and the people who were already hand loading were starting to stock up.
And now to add to it - Husein has asked ammunition makers to start producing "green" bullets. Just when you thought that ammunition and hand loading supplies were starting to loosen up...

For some it comes down to accuracy and consistency, for most its about cost. Shooting will not become cheaper, I see this as a new norm over the coming years.

I remember when prices skyrocketed in Nov, 2008 and reloading supplies were scarce for a year.

Prices came back down to earth.

Of course, 2009-2012 was an era that saw skyrocketing market increases in various commodities like gold, copper, silver, lead, etc. The ammo market returned to "normal" in the sense the market was balanced, but the since there was inflation in the price of the underlying commodities there was an inflation-related increase in the cost of ammo and components.
