If this individual does have a CHL as claimed, he is making the rest of us look bad. Whether or not he does, he is an idiot...

He was arrested wearing body armor and carrying a gun. He claimed that he displayed a CIA badge at a local theater to minimize concerns about the firearm he was carrying. He told FBI investigators that he had a concealed weapons permit and didn't want to leave his gun unattended....

Does every drunk driver make all drivers look bad?

Does every man who fails to make child support payments make all divorced Dads look bad?

Even if he has a CHL, the only ones who will label us all as idiots are those who already hate firearms and those who carry them. No action by any good guy with a CHL will ever change their mind.

Those who actually apply critical thinking to these situations know the difference.

Anygun, I agree with your sentiments stated above and perhaps I could have worded my concerns a little better. The rabid anti-gunners are going to hate us anyway, as you stated. I think my main concern with something like this is those who are on the fence about CHLs....perhaps my concerns are overblown. That said, I think we all agree the guy in this case is an idiot.

Methinks majority of fence sitters are the critical thinkers. They just need a pull and for the most part think this guy is an idiot too.
