My faith in humanity briefly restored

My daughter lost her Iphone right before I went to work today. Whoever had it turned the phone off to probably avoid it being tracked. Later it came on and off and we could track it. I put the block on it and a message that if we got it back today no criminal charges. A short time ago a person called that spoke very limited English asking if I wanted the phone back. He gave me an address in a rougher area of Austin near Rundburg. I figured I was either going to get the phone back or be robbed. Being that I was at work I comped off for a few, and jumped in my truck. When I scoped the house out I saw a family out front so I made contact. I had originally planned on adding a couple more units to the group when I drove up, but the situation did not warrant it. Their eyes got bigger as I was still in uniform and there is now a rumor that APD has a under cover F150 "rlol" . The guy said his uncle had found it and later gave it to him. He had wanted to return it. My daughter is VERY happy :thumbs2:

Great news.

However, now I have to start watching out for F150's? I just got good at spotting those two Charger's in Grapevine. :grumble :biggrinjester:

Glad you got the phone back OK. Rundburg is a pretty rough area these days. I remember when it wasn't.
