Hotel firearms policy (HB 333)

So, in preparation for my class tomorrow, I was looking at a couple of hotel websites to see if/how they have posted their firearms policies. The website for Hilton hotels has this wording:

"Firearms Policy

Carrying a weapon on these premises is prohibited and violators may be subject to arrest for trespass under applicable law."

The wording makes no reference to licensed or unlicensed. Are we to assume that this covers both and I will have to stop staying at Hilton Hotels??

I have searched a couple of other brands and so far Hilton is the only one with the policy up on the website.

the verbage does not meet Texas Law 30.06, so you (a CHL) have not been given proper notification.
I would either carry away or switch hotels (they wont care by the way for your leaving them)

I guess that was my question: Does it have to still meet the requirements for 30.06? Logic says it would, but as we all know, logic doesn't always count.

As I understand the new law, hotels are required to notify you, when you make reservations, of their gun policy. This may very well satisfy that requirement. I would still expect they would have to have valid 30.06 signs posted at the hotel itself.

yes, in writing, it needs to be the 30.06 for official (legal) notification.
Verbally however, all they have to do is say "no guns" or anything remotely similar that you get the meaning of it.

I made a reservation yesterday at a Hilton hotel for tomorrow night. Didn't get any notice.
What if you make a res before 9/1 for a stay after 9/1?

Will be interesting to see if they give you notice at check-in, and what kind of notice.
