I am not 100% sure but I think he/she would not have an SA endorsement on his CHL and won't be able to carry anything other than a revolver.

Irrelevant since 9/1. There is no longer any differentiation between SA and NSA.

I don't think the 410 would qualify as larger than the .32, but that is just my opinion, as is a "shotgun" round.
they would have to use the .45 (or whatever the round is that fits other than the 410).

I don't see that "gimmick gun" being considered any different by DPS than any other revolver so long as the testing ammo is not bird shot or buck shot.

Sure it is. It shoots .45 Colt or .410 shot shells A .410 shell is .41 inches or .41 caliber. However, they would not be able to shoot shot shells to quailfy with, they would have to shoot .45 colt.

Edit to add: I think they might also be able to shoot .410 slugs as it would be larger than .32 and s single projectile.

A little point of order 3142 that allows you to qualify or carry either, went into effect at the time of signature. You have been able to qualify or carry either since 6/14.

#0000 Buck 5.51 g (85 gr.) 9.40 mm (0.380")

How would you score a target when the student is firing multiple projectiles per shot? (Rhetorical question.)

If I were to carry a revolver, I'd carry my S&W 625 with moon clips for quick reloading. I think 45ACP moon clips reload faster than just about anything else.

That said, opinions vary. A Judge ought to work just fine for CHL testing. I guess you can judge whether the the 410 slugs or 45 LC would be a more accurate ammo choice. I can't see the buck shot working too well.
