CHL Holder Charged with Aggravated Assault

Apparently, this truck driver was not listening during the deadly force instruction for his license.
Harris County: Reportedly, a truck driver saw a guy with a knife next to his semi rig possibly stabbing his tires. Upon confronting him and telling the man he was a licensed CHL, the guy took off. The CHL holder pursued the man for some distance to a church entrance where he shot him in the buttocks. The CHL holder was soon headed downtown in a set of bracelets charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. I can not fathom anyone who has taken a CHL class in Texas under a halfway competent Instructor who would think chasing down this guy and shooting them was going to sit well when the police came. Maybe it was an out of state license?
