Started thinking about work. I haven't worked a Halloween night in YEARS. I absolutely despise working it. Too many bad things have happened over the decades working it. People trying to take my head off with golf clubs; bottles thrown at us at parties; people spitting in our faces; shootings; stabbings; fighting drunks; chasing drunks; more drunks; robberies; drunks; assaults; drunks; 'adults' walking up knowing we are leo's pointing their so called 'fake' guns at us thinking it's funny = more drunks' dwi crashes; idiots running around robbing children for their candy.
Lord grant me the patience tonight!

If anybody is at home pugging a cold one take a sip for me

Well, we all know it won't be quiet.
I'll be on Halloween duty tonight walking my daughter and friends around, while they trick-or-treat. I'll be looking like the Marlboro Man, but there'll be something other than a cig under my coat. Hah, actually, that would have been funnier if I actually carried a Sig Sauer.

Er in that case I hope your night is as loud as a high school marching band competition!
At least here, its rained inches and inches. That may help a good bit.

I have candy duty tonite. Only because my grandkids will be coming by and they already informed us as to what kind of candy we "should" be giving out. Out of 6 grandkids you would think at least 2 of them would want the same kind of candy. But nooooo. They all wanted something different. Oh well, gotta love em.

. . . and more drunks.

My son hates working Halloween too. This year he worked days so he is actually off and he is happy.

Is Halloween worse than New Years Eve when even the mostly non-drinkers get drunk?
Or roughly the same?
Either way you have my sympathy.
Drunks are a gigantic pain.

Just about as bad as several hundred middle schoolers the day AFTER Halloween! God grant me patience tomorrow!
Thanks for your service, and hoping your night is ....calm? Uneventful? (I didn't use the Q word!)
