Humm, it came out in Dec and this is the first time it's posted. Forum members must not have been very big fans to begin with.

Well, that explains it. Still can't remember the last time I've seen a copy of it much less read it.

20 to 30% of readership just vaporized. If advertisers jump ship, they are in real trouble. I moved my mag money to "Gun Tests" years ago.

:iagree:
Gun Tests is not perfect by any means, but I definitely like it as a more neutral source.

Didn't do us any favors. Huff Post and Brady campaign are already quoting him.

If you read their reviews it was obvious for a long time they don't know guns and it's all about the advertising dollars.

I buy G&A from time to time if I see something on the cover that catches my attention. However, I like "Shooting Times" and "Shooting Illustrated" a lot more. G&A rectified the situation; unfortunately, there was damage done. Dick Metcalf will likely now be persona non grata in the shooting community.

I prefer to spend my magazine dollars with American Rifleman and Shooting Illustrated, although one of those rags is included with my NRA dues.

The former writer will be interviewed on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk this Sunday (11-10-13)

Guns & Ammo, Shooting Times, and several other firearms related magazines are all owned by the same parent company, Intermedia Outdoors.
