We are in the market for a new vehicle, I am currently looking at a Toyota Sienna. I really want a truck but because of gas milage and how far I drive for work 50 miles round trip the MPG just doesn't make sense. So a mini van it is. Any opinions out there, we are looking at a Sienna or an Odyssey. I like the storage space and capacity of the mini van. :txflag: :patriot:

If you're looking at an Odyssey, also take a look at the Chrysler Town % Country. Similar size, but the middle seats have a "Stow and Go" feature that lets you fold the seats into the floor, giving a nice, flat storage area to the back of the vehicle. I get about 18mph in city/19-20 on the highway.

The Stow and Go also makes a great place to stow a small gunsafe, should the need arise. I've got mine with the security cable looped around the driver's seat bracket, then down into the S&G compartment. Can hardly see the cable, even better if you put the floor mat over it.

We have a 2006 Sienna. We got it about... two and a half years ago? Love it. Minivans are the best thing ever and I don't care how not-cool it looks. We went to CarMax and climbed around in all of the different minivan models they had to decide what we liked best. The Sienna was (to us) the best balance between comfort and cargo space. We're a family of 5 and we plan to regularly make road trips to go camping around the country. We also looked seriously at the Dodge Grand Caravan. My in-laws have driven those for years and are very happy with them. The stow-and-go middle seating is nice, especially with the hidden storage beneath the floorboard when the seats are not stowed. It's not top-notch security, but it gets things out of sight and it might go unnoticed by anyone who isn't familiar with that model of minivan and isn't making a very determined search. I think the Chrysler Town & Country is the same model, different name. We ultimately went with the Toyota because my husband was concerned that the Dodge quality might not be as good. It also helped that my previous car was a Camry. Switching from the Camry to the Sienna was extremely easy as far as how it felt to drive.

I'm on my third Odyssey in a row (well, my wife is). Very comfortable on the road. Extremely reliable, and great resale value.
