Won't happen here in Texas or several other states that will not release CHL info to anyone but law enforcement.

CHL info should be privileged info and not public info. Privacy matters for US Citizens.

Unacceptable! One hacker and they get the info. Why not publish a list of welfare recioients?

Yeah, right that have no plan to publish the data. Push for constitutional carry and there would be fewer concerns.

I think the states should release the reports to the media or whomever requests it via FOIR. They just need to do as the Obama administration and redact all pertinent information such as addresses, names, and any other information that may identify a chl holder or where they are.

Not that I think this will happen, but if it does, someone should do like they in New York I think it was and publish the names and addresses of the newspaper staff. Turnabout is fair play, right?

I have to agree with you TJ. You only need to do a Google search on the interwebs to find out that Gov. computers are suceptible to hacking.
British man allegedly hacked U.S. government networks

Government Hacked: 24,000 Files Stolen in Worst Pentagon Cyber Attack

Five indicted in largest hacking scheme in U.S. history

That's why I must side with scottmeador:

If a burglar breaks into a house to rob it because the newspaper's list says there are no guns there, and then he gets shot, can he sue them for damages?

Yes! And it would fall under the category of: You can't make this (insert expletive here) up.
