Sunday, February 2, 2014 Sad news from Arkansas in that Fire Pilot Jacob Harrell, who was scouting for wildfires in Arkansas, has been missing since Friday. He was flying a pattern for the Arkansas Forestry Commission in the western portion of the state when his plane apparently went down without any communication. The area where he is feared to have crashed is among the most steep and hard-to-reach areas in the state. Last week, multiple wildfires burned throughout Arkansas. Today, search parties looking for the pilot are having to contend with a wave of winter precipitation -- cold rain, sleet and snow.

Yesterday's search didn't turn up anything. Ground search will resume today but bad weather is hampering air search. Please pray for Jake's wife. She has a lot of support but all of this is taking a toll on her and their two year old.
