He looks really sad like most rescues do.

I'll bet you'll have him smiling in no time.

Handsome guy (gal?). Looking forward to my turn to bring a dog home... hopefully in the next few years! Waiting for the kids to be a little older because there's only so much I can keep up with.

I think that's just the breed. But in no time, thanks to you, he will be smiling inside and out. :thumbs2:

He is asleep on my feet as I sit in my recliner typing this. He whimpers and howls when my kids get out of his sight, hes scared of my wifes 4lb cat, and gets along good with my boxer. Did a few tracking exercises today and it wont take us long to be tracking like crazy.

Nice looking dog. Can't imagine how he ended up at the pound.

The lady at the spca said that he was picked up by arlington AnCon and was transferred to them. He didnt have a micro chip, now he does. bloodhounds are stubborn and will intently follow their nose for hours, even days sometimes. I can only assume that is how he got seperated from his original family. I told the SPCA if his original family should come calling to put them in touch with so he can go "home".

The last Blood Hound I knew became an excellent search and rescue dog. I don't know if he got his FEMA certification or not, but he was something else.
