During an interview, former NYC mayor Bloomberg was asked about guns among other things.

He also pledged to continue his work combatting public health problems like smoking and obesity and pushing to enact stricter gun laws.
It appears that he is going to try to do a George Soros impression and spend his billions getting into other people's business.
And he said he was still hopeful that Congress would approve new gun regulations, including background checks on the sales of firearms at gun shows. “One hundred percent convinced,” Bloomberg said, adding that he plans to be very active in backing candidates who support new gun laws during the upcoming midterm elections.
I just love that he wants to have things both ways when it comes to influencing politics......
Asked if he could outspend the National Rifle Association and other opponents of gun control measures, Bloomberg casually replied, “Oh sure.” But then added, “I’m not the only funder of this.” While he has been critical of Congress for being unduly influenced by political contributions from the tobacco industry and other special interests, Bloomberg, whose net worth is an estimated $33 billion, according to Forbes magazine, dodged a question about whether he should be considered a “special interest group.” He says it’s his right under the Constitution to support the candidates and issues he chooses.

Just as Obama became "Gun Salesmen of the Year" for several years in a row, it's looking like he and Katie could become the best recruiters in the USA for NRA memberships.

It's sad commentary when "right' comes down to one side spending more than the other. This is why I say we need to change our culture to one that stands on principle.

You are correct in your comment, but if you ask bloomberg he is standing on his principles, only his are much different from ours. Principles are found on fundamental truths, and bloomberg's are not found on truth,

Did I see stricter car control laws?
Motor Vehicle Safety
Motor vehicle crashes are one of the leading causes of death in the U.S.1 More than 2.3 million adult drivers and passengers were treated in emergency departments as the result of being injured in motor vehicle crashes in 2009.2 The economic impact is also notable: the lifetime costs of crash-related deaths and injuries among drivers and passengers were
$70 billion in 2005.3
CDC's research and prevention efforts target this serious public health problem. We focus on improving car and booster seat and seat belt use and reducing impaired driving, and helping groups at risk: child passengers, teen drivers, and older adult drivers. CDC also works to prevent pedestrian and bicycle injuries.
Based on the magnitude of the health problem, and our ability to make significant progress in improving outcomes, Motor Vehicle Injury Prevention is a CDC Winnable Battle.

Rate per 100,000:
Cars: 10.3
Homicide by firearm: 3.6 (excluding suicide)

Bloomy stands on believes and feelings. Those are subject to change. Principles don't change and are fundamental to oour country.
With that said, I agree with what you are saying.

Need to tell bloomberg that putting a rock in the oven don't make it a buiscuit.

That ship sailed long ago. The only way to accomplish that now is to add lots and lots of chlorine to the gene pool.

Glad the founders of our country didn't think that. Never stop fighting.

Agree.. You stand up and say that you can outspend someone or something like it's a badge of honor and you just lost my vote.. Doesn't matter what party you affiliate with.

Sure wish the Koch brothers would get into a pro-2nd Amendment spending battle with Bloomers.
Why can we have a few billionaires on our side?

I think you misunderstood me. Our founding fathers poured lots of chlorine into their gene pool!
