March 1014 application: advice?

So here’s my timeline, and then a few questions: :confused5
2/22 - went online to txapps.texas.gov and submitted application online and then registered for fingerprints via FAST
3/4 – finger prints taken
3/5 – CHL course taken and CHL 100 certificate received
3/11 – mailed the checklist with the barcode and the CHL -100 form.

It’s now been nearly a month and I’ve been using this link (https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/login.do" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) to check for updates but it just says they haven't received my documents. Just incase this is the mistake, the address I'm using is :

Texas Department of Public Safety
Concealed Handgun Licensing Program, MSC 0245
PO Box 4087
Austin, Tx 78773-0245

If the address isn't the case, are waiting periods this long common place/ possible? Was my timing off? Should I resend the documents and use tracking this time? Did I forget to send a particular document? Any help would be great appreciated. :patriot:

are you trying to get a license to carry a sword? March of 1014? :biggrinjester: After about 60 days I called to check my status and they said I had to send it again. They lost my chl information even though it was sent through email. :banghead: Status then changed after about 45 days and chl arrived about another 2 weeks later.

The online status is by default. It will normally not change as the process goes on. i talked with a representative yesterday that stated they are processing applications received the last of February and first of March.

Good call Javier. I guess I should be looking for a good blacksmith! "rlol" Sucks about your situation. I might end up sharing your situation as well though. And thanks Steamboat for the update. It gives me a little peace of mind that perhaps it didn't get lost in the mail or in the system. I guess all I can do is wait. :yawn Thanks again. :totap:
